I'm not sure green is the best color to indicate that there are no new posts on a board. It's very easy to distinguish from red, but it's very bright and doesn't really match the color scheme. Maybe a yellow?

Perhaps blue would make a good contrast to the red, and stand out against all of the tans, and browns of the Archives... I shall play a little with this, and see what I think. I will post my results here, for further purusal. Thanks for the suggestion Alric.

Kinsman Oron the Wolf
A hard, lean, man of middle age, with long brown hair, and a handle bar mustache. An obvious veteran of many campaigns, wearing light leather armor. A short sword is strapped to his left hip, a large knife rests against the back of his wide hero's belt, and a small oval shield hangs over his shoulder.

I will have to agree with Alric. The green is not easily seen

That, was essentially the point, originally. No New Posts icon does not really need to stand out, New Post Icon, conversely should really stand out. That was my thinking when I crafted this wall paper/theme, anyway. I shall see what I think of a different color.

Oh for the love of...
Poking fun at someone for picking nits? Some people have TOOOO much time on their hands.
The color of the "gem" is similar to the cross holding it. It doesn't draw your eye, which is pretty much what you're looking for, I think. It's like a magical gem...it's clear when there's nothing special, but glows when you should pay attention.
Okay...I'm a dork.

Well Greybeard, when a man opens himself up to the slings and arrows of others, he must be willing to suffer the occasional nit...
I created this section so that people could give me feedback, and I could use or ignore it as I saw fit. In this case, twas a simple matter to try, and see if it made any difference what-so-ever. It is just as easily returned, if I do not care for the effect.
